The South Africa Tourist eVisa is an online travel authorisation option for eligible travellers visiting South Africa for tourism or visitor purposes. South Africa’s Department of Home Affairs is moving towards an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) system, which allows eligible travellers to apply online before their trip. Applicants provide passport details, answer questions about their journey, complete a live facial image, and pay the applicable fee. The current ETA system is available to eligible visa-required travellers and can also be used by visa-exempt travellers for easier border processing. Applicants should travel with the same passport used for the application. Before booking your trip, check whether your nationality is eligible and confirm the latest entry requirements. An approved ETA does not permit employment in South Africa.
